One of the things I'm often asked is "How did you get started in this kind of work?"

It all started when I was 8 years old and my father had a tragic accident. I watched him fall deep into a depression where he didn’t have anywhere or anyone to turn to for help. My father grew up in a macho society where you suck it up, you deal with your own stuff on your own time, and you keep it in your own head.

For as long as I can remember, losing my dad always made me curious to find ways to help him get out of that dark place.  As a teenager, I read books on mental health and trauma. Eventually, as a young adult, I went to every possible seminar and training out there to find answers and learn tools to help me, help him.  I was determined. Along the way, I discovered the importance of self-awareness, the impact of personal development, and the influence that effective social skills can have on our quality of life.

I started to notice a transformation in my own life and the lives of those whom I love, those in my community, and the world that surrounded me. I was showing up to life differently, and life was showing up for me in ways I never imagined. That is the moment I decided to start sharing the knowledge and wisdom I was living and learning with the rest of the world, and I continue to do so today.

Fast forward and I’m happy to say, today my dad is living his best life, and he continues to be my inspiration. It took a while and a lot of hard work together, but I finally got my dad back. We are able to dance, have colorful debates, and drink tequila together again. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!

Growing up with lots of male friends, uncles, a brother, and a bunch of male cousins, I developed a soft spot in my heart for men and their struggles. I realized at a very young age, that most men don’t have a space to explore who they truly are, what their wants and needs are, and how to navigate their feelings and emotions. In the past, men had a hard time dealing with these subjects, and it's only gotten more difficult for them to maneuver in this modern world where the expectations of what it is to be a man are downright conflicting and confusing.

So, now I’m dedicated to just that; helping men thrive and live more fulfilled authentic lives, by building inner confidence and finding the untapped resources inside of each and every one of them. Together we re-create what it feels like to be a confident man in this modern world.
